These are the players already inked max deals or reportedly will get the max:

  • DeMar DeRozan - Toronto, 5 years US$139 million
  • Al Horford - Boston, 4 years US$113 million
  • Mike Conley - Memphis, 5 years US$153 million (he's in the Western Conference where a lot of elite point guards reside, I get that. But still Conley is a ZERO-time all-star)
  • Bradley Beal - Washington, 5 years US$130 million (has Beal ever been healthy for a full season?)
  • Harrison Barnes (my head hurts)

  • I wonder how all of these make Curry feels. The two-time MVP is scheduled to make US$12 million next season.

Other than those max deals, players will be making more than Curry next season include Even Turner, Evan Fournier, Jeremy Lin, Mozgov, Solomon Hill, Jeff Green. Stay tuned.

    Random Thoughts:

This is NBA's version of quantitative easing, resulting in too much money chasing finite number of elite (can we call Barnes elite) players.

Timing is everything. I'm pretty sure Scottie Pippen is cursing like hell he was born 25 years too early.
