Nets Observations

I'm not favoring Lin just because he's Chinese, but Kenny Atkinson needs to make it clear that Lin is the primary ball handler instead of Russell. Russell isn't polished as Lin, who makes better decisions, shoots better and defends better. Granted, it's only pre-season games but Russell has the tendency to take ill-advised early shots, and those shots are not falling, and why is that he doesn't really jump on his shots?

D'Angelo is no. 2 pick but he may soon fade from NBA stardom if he doesn't quickly improve, and in a lot of areas, shooting, passing, decision-making, defending. I totally understand why Magic gives up on him once Ball is in.

Nets' bigs are terrible finishing around the rim. But hey Timofey Mozgov is shooting 3s.

Las Vegas over/under for Nets is 27.5. EMPHATICALLY OVER!!! This Nets team while doesn't have any stars, what they have is a collection of solid NBA players and their chemistry is good and Atkinson has them play hard. Many people don't realize it but Allen Crabbe is the second most accurate 3-point specialist in the entire NBA last season shooting 44%. The last 24 games of last season when Jeremy Lin returned from injury, the Nets went 11-13. There is no reason whey they can't sustain that momentum.

Side note: Lots of observers are high on Winslow, and are penciling him in for a break-out season. I don't know, he seems to be lacking something. What I don't know but I just have this gut feeling he's never going to be an all-star.
